"Although in principle it should be easy to describe or explain the characteristics of Formentera, due to it's size of 82 Kms squared , I can assure you that I am terrified by the responsibility, terrified of not knowing how to explain to you the singularity and the beauty and personality possessed by this astonishing island. How am I going to explain how it feels to discover that you have managed to capture a colour tone never seen before? How can I make you experience the sensation that will overcome you when the light, that indescribable light of Formentera seizes everything, turning the island into such splendor that it overwhelms the senses? Believe me, Formentera is not a thing that can be described; it has to be seen and discovered.Having said this, and as a basic principle for getting to know it, I have to tell you that Formentera in itself is a whole, by which I mean to say that, in my opinion, there are no aspects which are more relevant than others. If you want to appreciate it you have to take things quietly. Stroll it's pathways. Explore around it's coasts and submerge yourself in it's waters. Forget clocks. Leave all the hustle and bustle to one side and you will rediscover your lost harmony with nature. I can assure you that this peace, which you need so much, is yours in Formentera."
